Meet Timmy Theron – Founder, Guide, Photographer
After serving in the Namibian police force, Timmy Theron founded Far and Beyond Tours and Safaris CC in 1994 with a simple goal — to go above and beyond what visitors expect.
Guided by a lifelong love for nature and photography, Tim has spent decades exploring Namibia’s wild places — from the red dunes of Sossusvlei to the lush waterways of the Zambezi, and beyond to Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Angola.
Inspired by his father, an avid photographer and adventurer, Tim developed a deep respect for the wilderness. That same passion now runs in his family, as his son continues the tradition of off-road exploration and photography.
“The greatest compliment,” Tim says, “is when someone tells me they can see and feel Namibia through my eyes.”

Tim believes in leaving places better than we found them. “If I could change the world,” he says, “I’d speed up the shift to renewable energy and help people live in harmony with nature — just like Namibia’s Indigenous communities have always done.”
